Nothing stands out as being classier or more romantic than a New York City Hall Elopement, and Jamie and Matthew’s day was exactly that – elegant, intentional, and completely theirs. Traveling from England to New York, they planned their perfect winter elopement around what mattered most: love, family, and just the four of them. No guest list, no venue stress, no compromises.
The day began at The Ludlow Hotel, located on the Lower East Side, which offered beautiful views of Manhattan, and was the perfect backdrop for the easy elegance of their wedding morning. After a first look and a few portraits, we traveled together a short distance to the City Clerk’s Office, where the halls and iconic green couches have witnessed more love stories than anywhere else in the city.

A short ceremony later, followed by a few confetti throws, we hopped on the subway and traveled to their intimate reception at Cafe Skye – a cozy little restaurant rented privately just for them. The table was beautifully set by Posh Picnics NYC, and together, Jamie, Matthew, and their two children, shared a special evening celebrating something that belonged entirely to them.
