Elegant New York Elopement at The Beekman Hotel

With so many beautiful wedding venues in New York City, finding the perfect backdrop can be part of the excitement of wedding planning, and for Fiona and Luke, the Beekman Hotel was the perfect choice. Fiona and Luke, who fell in love in New York City, chose this iconic location as the perfect setting for their elopement. Drawn to moody, romantic imagery, they wanted to embrace the Beekman’s distinctive architecture within their wedding photos.

They began their morning getting dressed in separate hotel rooms, just down the hall from one another, joined only by their parents and grandmother. After first looks with all the women, Fiona shared an emotional moment with her father.

As the families went down to await the couple in the lobby, it was time for Fiona and Luke to share their first look with one another. A beautiful and intimate moment, framed by the archways and architecture of the Beekman’s atrium, Fiona and Luke took in all the emotions of their first look before returning to their room for a private vow exchange.

Afterwards the three of us made our way down to the hotel lobby, where the newlyweds were anxiously awaited by their loved ones. The lobby of the Beekman Hotel, with its unique furnishings and wall design, added texture and contrast to their family and couples portraits. Pairing the romance of the moment with the hotel’s elegant architecture, we played with flirty and elegant prompts that captured Fiona and Luke’s love for each other.

And no New York City elopement would be complete without an iconic city street stroll. Fiona and Luke finished off their time with me with a quick walk to a City Hall Park, just steps from the hotel.

A day filled with love and joy, beautifully shared with their family, I’m so grateful to have photographed Fiona and Luke’s elopement.
